Focus Teams from Biddulph and Endon travelled to Leek on Friday Sept 16th to lend their support to the 'Real Man' Campaign against violence against women. The campaign is organised by Womens' Aid as a nationwide effort to demonstrate that violence in the home is never acceptable.

A real man, says the campaign, is defined like this:-

  • A 'Real Man' doesn't hit, abuse or control
  • A 'Real Man' doesn't hurt the ones he loves
  • A 'Real Man' makes a difference.

Those attending the event, which was the first of many to take place across Staffordshire and which will be followed up nationwide, were invited to 'sign the pledge' as defined above.
